Legal Job Responsibilities


  • Keeps cases organised by establishing and organising files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file databases and case management software; confirming case status with attorneys.

  • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports

  • Drafting, vetting and all legal documentation (including but not limited to grant agreements with foreign and local donors, non-profit partners, vendor contracts, MOUs, etc.)

  • Ensuring compliances under applicable laws, most particularly the statutes of Income Tax Act, Companies Act (ROC matters), FCRA and FEMA

  • Advising on all correspondence requiring legal inputs and educating front-facing teams on relevant regulatory aspects for better expectation-setting with stakeholders upfront

  • Working cross-functionally with various project teams, finance, operations, etc. to ensure policies and processes are updated with evolving regulations and are being duly followed

  • Providing updates and reports to the internal committees, partners and the board on a regular basis on relevant legal issues conduct of board and annual general meetings and the related compliances

  • Identifying potential legal and related risks and developing mitigating strategies

  • Liaising with consultants, lawyers for legal opinions

  • Developing and updating policies relating to corporate governance and regulatory affairs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, including disclosure requirements

  • Enhances trial proceedings by organising evidence; preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses; ensuring that witnesses are ready when needed; taking courtroom notes.


Education Required for Legal

Masters of Law or degree in Integrated MBL-LLM/ MBA-LLM.


Qualifications Required for Legal

A person shall be at least 21 years old.

The person shall be having a law degree from any University provided that it has to be recognized by Bar Council of India.

A person should be registered with any state Bar Council of India.


Specialization Required for Legal

A candidate must have Corporate law specialization that focus on companies or corporations.
